Advocacy and Capacity Building
Our vision is to ascertain and enhance a sustainable approach to community
development, enhance participation and engagement of community members and
stakeholders in all levels for a guaranteed sustainable development in The Gambian
community.
The session introduced participants to the fundamentals and techniques of local fundraising, donor/partner profiling, active listening, and other key topics. The highlight was our brainstorming session on the importance of independently mobilizing funds and resources to sustain organizational activities.
On June 22, 2024, CASA Gambia hosted a pivotal directors meeting for 20 community-based organizations (CBOs) and civil society organizations (CSOs) at Metzy Residence Hotel in Kotu. The event focused on local fundraising and mobilizing support, featuring the Change the Game Academy (CtGA) program.
The participating Organizations learned about Planning and Implementation processes of Mobilising Support initiatives, where thorough context analysis was done with the aid of SWOT and PESTLE Analysis tools.
They had the opportunity to also show off their presentation skills.
