Members of the Community Action Support Association (CASA Gambia) on Thursday 5th October 2023 presented sketch plans of three market projects for the communities of Brufut New Town, Sotokoi (Tintinto) and Sare Pateh in the West Coast Region. The markets will be constructed by CASA Gambia and its partners Wilde Ganzen Foundation in the Netherlands.During the presentation ceremony, Ebrima Jatta, Chairman of CASA Gambia, expressed his organization’s commitment to provide the much-needed social infrastructure for the needy and underprivileged communities in the Gambia. He thanked the Chairman of the Brikama Area Council (BAC) for his unwavering commitment to the development of West Coast Region.For his part, the Chairman of Brikama Area Council -BAC”. expressed his Council’s resolve to partner with CASA Gambia in the realization of these important projects noting that the markets when completed will serve as catalysts for the improvement of local economies in the beneficiary communities. He also reiterated his Council’s willingness to provide requisite support for the projects and expressed his Council’s desire for continuous collaboration between the two institutions.
