Book Aid International is a UK-registered charity that shares the power of books and helps create a more equal world. Every year, they provide over one million brand-new books to thousands of communities where people have very few opportunities to read, and they work with partners to support and establish libraries and reading spaces. They work in over 25 countries around the world.
Both Book Aid International and CASA Gambia recognized the fact that Partnerships are vital to everything we do because we know that by working together with partners, we can create a sustainable change and give more people the opportunity to read.
They work with a wide range of library, education, and NGO partners who share the same believes of the power of books.
Their work is partner-led, and they liaise closely with partners to establish book needs, selecting books from their available stock to match the requirements of partners as closely as possible.
CASA Gambia will partner and work with Book Aid International to support vibrant reading spaces where readers can access books, promote reading in communities, institutions, and other places of learning in The Gambia.
We are very much excited about this adventure and we believe that working with Book Aid International will further strengthen the education sector in The Gambia with a goal-driven path in academia and development.
