CorpsAfrica/Gambia and Casa Gambia Explore Opportunities for Impact

CorpsAfrica/Gambia held a productive meeting with CASA Gambia today, July 29, 2024, to discuss potential collaborations aimed at driving positive change within our communities. Both organizations share a strong commitment to community development and recognize the potential for a mutually beneficial partnership.

CorpsAfrica/Gambia outlined its current initiatives and volunteer placements, highlighting the upcoming Pitch Day on August 7, 2024. This event will showcase innovative solutions developed by CorpsAfrica/Gambia volunteers and offer an opportunity for CASA Gambia to witness firsthand the creativity and dedication of young leaders working hard to come up with creative solutions to community challenges.

CASA Gambia’s extensive experience in community development complements CorpsAfrica/Gambia’s volunteer-driven approach. Together, we envision creating impactful projects that address critical challenges and empower communities.

Beyond project collaboration, CorpsAfrica/Gambia expressed interest in capacity-building initiatives. And invites Casa Gambia to participate in their volunteer training programs to enhance the skills of volunteers. Additionally, the CorpsAfrica/Gambia team believes that it is essential to ensure project sustainability beyond the volunteer’s tenure and requested that CASA Gambia provide training to community members to maintain project momentum after the volunteers leave.

To formalize this partnership, CorpsAfrica/Gambia will draft a Memorandum of Understanding. We are excited about the potential of this collaboration and look forward to exploring further opportunities to create stronger and more resilient communities.
