CASA GAMBIA

Empowering Skills Foundation merged with CASA Gambia

The Empowering Skills Foundation(ESF) is thrilled to announce its merger with Casa Gambia, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving education in The Gambia. After more than 7 years of impactful efforts, including the construction and implementation of a technical school block for the Saint Martins’ Basic Cycle School, part of the Catholic Mission, in Kartong, the ESF board has decided to unite forces with Casa Gambia to further enhance educational opportunities in the region.

This strategic union comes as a response to the recognition that, while empowering students with skills is crucial, a holistic approach is needed to support parents and address broader educational needs. The ESF has been a small organization dedicated to its mission of building and teaching practical skills. However, the merger with Casa Gambia allows for a broader scope of impact, empowering is not just for the students but also for the parents within the community. Recognizing the importance of parental empowerment in meeting the costs of school fees and supporting their children’s education, the unified organizations will work towards a comprehensive approach.

Through this collaboration, ESF and Casa Gambia aim to introduce additional subjects and initiatives that address the diverse needs of students, parents, and the community. By providing a comprehensive education, the organizations strive to equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary for a successful future while empowering parents to actively participate in their children’s education.

We are proud that our legacy will be become a part of Casa Gambia’s mission to empower the youth with technical and practical skills. We will continue to support Gambia by staying active as volunteers for Casa Gambia.

The merges will happen on the 1st of December 2023 and from that date, the ESF will no longer exist. Both ESF and Casa Gambia see this next step as a strong win-win.

We would like to thank all of our volunteers and donors for all their support!
