Transformative Learning Exchange Program at West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI) in Ghana!

Casa-Gambia ICT and Innovation Coordinator Ebrima Saidylee shares his remarkable journey during a two-week learning exchange program at the West Africa Civil Society Institute (WACSI) in Ghana. It was an unforgettable experience that opened new doors of knowledge and inspiration.
On his arrival in Accra, the capital city of Ghana, he was greeted with warm hospitality by the WACSI team. The institute’s commitment to fostering collaboration and innovation among civil society organisations was palpable, and felt an instant connection to the vibrant community of change-makers.
As the ICT and Innovation Coordinator for CASA Gambia, Ebrima’s focus during the program was to explore innovative approaches and technologies that could enhance the work of civil society organisations in The Gambia. He was delighted to find that the program offered a perfect blend of theoretical knowledge, practical skills, and hands-on experiences.
One of the highlights of his learning exchange was the opportunity to participate in training sessions specifically tailored to ICT and innovation. Renowned experts in the field shared cutting-edge insights, best practices, and success stories, inspiring me to harness technology to drive social change.
Moreover, the program fostered a collaborative environment that encouraged networking and knowledge sharing between Ebrima and the WACSI team. The diverse backgrounds and expertise of WACSI staff, who hailed from different countries in Africa, added immense value to the experience. Together, we brainstormed ideas, shared success stories, and addressed common challenges, leaving him inspired to push the boundaries of innovation even further.
As he reflect on his time at WACSI, Ebrima is grateful for the invaluable knowledge, skills, and connections he has gained.
